ICAI's Examination Department has announced that Self-Paced Online Module tests will not be held from 11 to 20 October 2026, because the software of the SPMT portal is being maintained and upgraded. Slot booking resumes from 21 October 2026.
What it means for you: if you planned to write a module test in mid-October, book a slot on or after 21 October instead. ICAI's FAQs on the New Scheme of Education and Training list qualifying all four Self-Paced Online Modules (Sets A to D) among the conditions for appearing in the CA Final exam (some students moving from the old scheme are exempt from Sets C and D; see the FAQ). A module is qualified with at least 50% marks, and there is no limit on the number of attempts. So plan your module tests well before the Final attempt you are aiming for.
