CA Final test series free PDF: every ICAI paper for Nov 2026

· Updated · 12 min read

The best CA Final test series free of cost is ICAI's own: Mock Test Paper (MTP) Series I and II, the November 2026 RTPs, ICAI's Model Test Paper books and past papers with suggested answers, all free PDFs on ICAI's portals. Both MTP series for November 2026 are now over, and together this material gives you more full papers than you can write before 2 November.

This guide lists every free paper, where to download it, and how to turn it into a test series of your own in the four weeks left. Everything below is ICAI's, and every download link goes to ICAI.

CA Final mock test papers Nov 26: MTP Series I and II

Both series are done: Series I ran from 9 to 21 September and Series II from 23 September to 5 October 2026. ICAI's Board of Studies announced them on 10 August 2026 (announcement, PDF (opens in a new tab)):

PaperSeries ISeries II
Paper 1: Financial Reporting9 Sep23 Sep
Paper 2: Advanced Financial Management11 Sep26 Sep
Paper 3: Advanced Auditing, Assurance and Professional Ethics15 Sep28 Sep
Paper 4: Direct Tax Laws & International Taxation17 Sep30 Sep
Paper 5: Indirect Tax Laws19 Sep3 Oct
Paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions21 Sep5 Oct

What the same announcement says:

  • Each question paper was uploaded by 1:30 PM on its date, for a 2 to 5 PM sitting.
  • The answer key is uploaded within 48 hours of the paper's start time. So the last key, Series II Paper 6, is due by 7 October.
  • The series ran in physical and virtual mode; physical mode was through your ICAI branch or regional office.

Missed some dates? You haven't lost the papers. Download them and write them now, on your own clock, before you open the key. The same dates are in our news post on CA Final MTP Nov 2026.

CA Final test series free PDF: where to download

Every paper below is a free PDF on ICAI's own sites. Don't download "free PDF" copies of paid test series from file-sharing groups: you can't tell which attempt they were written for, and they're often shared without the owner's permission (why, in detail).

Logging in to the BoS MTP portal

The steps in ICAI's announcement: open bosmtp.icai.org (opens in a new tab), click Student Login, click Register Now if you are a first-time user, and enter your registration number and date of birth. After registering, enter your registered email ID (as per SSP) and log in with the OTP sent to that email.

How many free full papers you have per subject

At least five full papers per subject for Papers 1 to 5, before you even open the Model Test Paper books.

SourcePapers per subject
MTP Series I and II, Nov 20262
Past papers with suggested answers (May 2026, Jan 2026, Sep 2025)3
Model Test Paper books6 to 10 (Papers 1 to 5 only)
RTP, Nov 20261 set of questions, not a full timed paper

The problem is not finding papers. It is writing them properly and checking them honestly.

Free CA Final test series, subject-wise: FR, AFM, Audit, DT, IDT, IBS

Every subject has the two MTPs and past papers; the Model Test Paper books add more for Papers 1 to 5.

IDT26 papers (Group II book)Book is for May and Nov 2025; recheck tax law
IBS2NoneUse ICAI's Case Study Digests

The Model Test Paper books, from ICAI:

  • Group I (labelled "relevant for May, 2025 examination and onwards"): 6 papers for Financial Reporting, 10 for Advanced Financial Management and 6 for Audit (PDF (opens in a new tab)).
  • Group II (labelled "relevant for May, 2025 and November 2025 examinations"): 6 papers each for Direct Tax and Indirect Tax (PDF (opens in a new tab)).

Note the Group II label. Tax law changes every attempt, so those papers are not written for November 2026. They're still good for speed and presentation, but check any answer that depends on a recent amendment against what applies for your attempt. For Paper 6, ICAI publishes its IBS Case Study Digests (Volumes I and II) on its Integrated Business Solutions page (opens in a new tab).

RTP for November 2026

Read the first pages before you solve anything: they tell you what applies to this attempt. ICAI has published the November 2026 RTPs paper by paper, each with detailed answers (RTP page (opens in a new tab)). The Paper 4 RTP, for example, says the direct tax provisions "as amended by the Finance Act, 2025 and the significant notifications and circulars issued upto 30.04.2026, are relevant for November 2026 examination", and the relevant assessment year is AY 2026-27 (Paper 4 RTP, PDF (opens in a new tab)).

Also check for corrigenda. On 15 September 2026, ICAI issued a correction to the answer to Question 11 in the Paper 2 RTP (corrigendum, PDF (opens in a new tab)). How RTPs and MTPs differ is in ICAI RTP and MTP explained.

Past papers, suggested answers and examiners' comments

ICAI's past papers page (opens in a new tab) has every CA Final attempt since May 2024. The latest is May 2026, and ICAI has suggested answers (opens in a new tab) for it. Each May 2026 paper's PDF, and which older attempt to write next, is in CA Final suggested answers May 2026 PDF. The group volumes of suggested answers also carry the examiners' comments: what candidates actually got wrong, question by question. We summarise them in ICAI examiners' comments: 6 mistakes that cost CA marks.

Turn ICAI's free papers into your own CA Final test series

Four weeks, one full paper a day in weeks 2 to 4, checked the same evening. Group I starts on 2 November and Group II on 9 November (exam schedule, PDF (opens in a new tab)). It's a suggestion; move days around, but keep the order.

WeekDatesWhat to write
15 to 11 OctRTPs and amendments; any MTP papers you missed
212 to 18 OctMTP Series I, one full paper a day, timed
319 to 25 OctMTP Series II, same routine
426 Oct to 1 NovMay 2026 past papers for Group I, then stop

Week 1 (5 to 11 October): RTPs and amendments

  1. Read the opening pages of every November 2026 RTP and update your notes for amendments.
  2. Solve the RTP questions in writing, then check them against the RTP's own answers.
  3. If you missed any MTP dates, download those papers now so they're ready for weeks 2 and 3.

Week 2 (12 to 18 October): MTP Series I, timed

  1. One full paper a day: 3 hours by hand, 4 hours for Paper 6, at 2 PM if you can, because that is when the real paper starts.
  2. Check the same evening against the answer key, step by step, not just the final figure.
  3. Note every lost mark as one of four types: concept not known, misread the question, calculation error, or presentation.

Week 3 (19 to 25 October): MTP Series II, timed

The same routine. Before each paper, re-read your list of lost marks from Series I for that subject. If the same type of mistake keeps coming back, that is your weak point.

Week 4 (26 October to 1 November): past papers, then stop

  1. Write the May 2026 paper for each Group I subject, one a day, and check it with ICAI's suggested answers.
  2. Read the examiners' comments for your subjects.
  3. Keep the last two days for revision only.
  4. For Group II, don't try to fit full May 2026 papers in as well. On the free days between your Group I exams, write two or three of their questions against the clock instead.

If you finish early, use the Model Test Paper books for extra Papers 1 to 3. A day-by-day version for mocks is our CA Final test series schedule for Nov 2026.

The honest limit: ICAI gives answers, not checked copies

Nobody checks your answer sheet in a free test series. The MTP announcement says it plainly: "Students can examine their answers with respect to the Answer Keys and self-assess their performance." The RTP says the same: "Detailed answers are provided to enable the students to do a self-assessment."

For MCQs that is fine. For descriptive answers it's hard. An answer key shows you the right answer. It doesn't tell you which step of yours lost marks, whether your working notes were enough, or whether your audit answer applied the provision to the facts or only stated it.

To check your own copy as strictly as you can, follow how to check your answers with ICAI suggested answers and how to check your ICAI MTP.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a free CA Final test series PDF?

Yes: ICAI's MTP Series I and II, RTPs, Model Test Paper books and past papers are all free PDFs on ICAI's sites, with answers. Download them from ICAI or from the links on our CA Final free resources page, not from file-sharing groups.

Is CA Final MTP Series II over?

Yes. Series II ran from 23 September to 5 October 2026, ending with Paper 6 on 5 October (announcement, PDF (opens in a new tab)). Its answer key is due within 48 hours of the paper.

Can I still write the CA Final MTP if I missed the date?

Yes, as practice. Log in to the BoS Knowledge Portal (opens in a new tab) or the BoS MTP portal (opens in a new tab), download the paper, write it in full time by hand, then open the key.

Is there a free CA Final mock test for each subject?

Yes: two MTPs per subject for November 2026, plus past papers, and Model Test Paper books for Papers 1 to 5. The subject-wise table above has the counts.

Are the CA Final Model Test Papers the same as the MTP series?

No. The Model Test Papers are two books of practice papers with answers; the MTP Series I and II are new papers released on fixed dates for each attempt. The Group II book is labelled for the May and November 2025 exams, so check tax answers against the November 2026 law.

Does ICAI check CA Final MTP answer sheets?

For the virtual series, ICAI's announcement says students compare their answers with the answer keys and "self-assess their performance". It doesn't say how branch-run physical tests are checked, so ask your branch.
