CA Final test series schedule Nov 2026: 30-day mock plan
Your CA Final test series schedule for November 2026 should be built around full-length mocks, not reading: two to three handwritten, timed mocks per subject, each one checked and fixed before the next. Writing both groups, about 14 full mocks fit before Paper 1 on 2 November with a fix day after each; writing one group, all 9 fit with time to spare.
The calendars below start on Monday 5 October 2026. Starting a day or two later? Slide every date and drop one mock 3. Not sure a month is enough for where you are? Can I clear CA Final in 1 month helps you decide first. For a broader plan built on ICAI's RTPs, MTPs and past papers, read our last 6 weeks CA exam plan.
CA Final November 2026 exam dates: count your days

| Date | Paper | Free days before the next paper |
|---|---|---|
| Mon 2 Nov | Paper 1: Financial Reporting | 3 Nov |
| Wed 4 Nov | Paper 2: Advanced Financial Management | 5 Nov |
| Fri 6 Nov | Paper 3: Advanced Auditing, Assurance and Professional Ethics | 7 and 8 Nov |

Counting from Monday 5 October:
| You are writing | Days before your first paper | Full mocks that fit with a fix day after each |
|---|---|---|
| Both groups | 28 (5 Oct to 1 Nov) | About 14 |
| Group I only | 28 (5 Oct to 1 Nov) | 9, with revision days between rounds |
| Group II only | 35 (5 Oct to 8 Nov) | 9, with a full revision week at the end |
How many mock tests before CA Final?
Three per subject if your calendar allows it; two is the minimum worth doing. Each one has a job:
| Mock | Its job |
|---|---|
| Mock 1 | Shows where you stand and how your time goes |
| Mock 2 | Tells you whether the fixes from mock 1 worked |
| Mock 3 | Builds speed and confidence, close to the exam, on a paper you haven't seen |
More than that rarely helps in the last month: a mock is only useful if you have time to fix what it shows. Close to the exam, these should be full-syllabus papers, not chapter tests; why is in CA Final test series chapter wise vs full syllabus.
The loop behind every mock: write, get checked, fix, rewrite
Every mock in this schedule goes through four steps, over two days.
- Write it like the exam. Start at 2 PM, by hand, closed book (Paper 6 is open book in the real exam, so keep your own material in hard copy, printed or handwritten notes, with you for that one). Use the time plan in how to attempt a CA Final paper in 3 hours.
- Get it checked. Check it yourself against the suggested answer, step by step, as in how to check your CA answers with ICAI suggested answers; compare each step, not just the final figure. Or use checked CA mock tests: our CA Final Group I and Group II mock tests return a checked copy within 24 hours, which keeps this loop to two days.
- Fix. Put every lost mark in your error log (below), then go back to the study material for the concepts you got wrong.
- Rewrite the weak areas. Two or three days later, rewrite the questions where you lost the most marks, against the clock, without looking at the answer.
Step 4 is the one most students skip, and it's where the marks come back.
CA Final test series schedule, day by day: both groups
A two-day cycle: write a mock in the afternoon, fix it the next day, and revise the subject you write next.
| Dates | Afternoon (2 PM) | Next day |
|---|---|---|
| 5 Oct | FR mock 1 | 6 Oct: fix FR, revise AFM |
| 7 Oct | AFM mock 1 | 8 Oct: fix AFM, revise Audit |
| 9 Oct | Audit mock 1 | 10 Oct: fix Audit, revise DT |
| 11 Oct | DT mock 1 | 12 Oct: fix DT, revise IDT |
| 13 Oct | IDT mock 1 | 14 Oct: fix IDT, revise IBS |
| 15 Oct | IBS mock 1 (4 hours) | 16 Oct: fix IBS, revise FR |
| 17 to 28 Oct | Mock 2 of each paper in the same order: FR 17, AFM 19, Audit 21, DT 23, IDT 25, IBS 27 | Fix day after each |
| 29 Oct | Mock 3 of your weakest Group I paper | 30 Oct: fix |
| 31 Oct | Mock 3 of your second-weakest Group I paper | 1 Nov: light fix, FR revision, early night |
That is 14 full mocks. The other four mock 3 papers are still useful: on the free days between exams, write one or two of their questions against the clock, not the full paper.
Group I only: test series schedule
Three rounds of FR, AFM and Audit, with revision days between them.
| Dates | Plan |
|---|---|
| 5 to 10 Oct | Round 1: FR 5, AFM 7, Audit 9, fix day after each |
| 11 and 12 Oct | Revision of your weakest chapters from the error log |
| 13 to 18 Oct | Round 2: FR 13, AFM 15, Audit 17, fix day after each |
| 19 and 20 Oct | Rewrite the questions where you lost the most marks |
| 21 to 26 Oct | Round 3: FR 21, AFM 23, Audit 25, fix day after each |
| 27 to 31 Oct | Revise from the error log; read ICAI's examiners' comments for your papers |
| 1 Nov | Light FR revision, formats, early night |
Group II only: test series schedule
Three rounds of DT, IDT and IBS, with a full revision week before 9 November.
| Dates | Plan |
|---|---|
| 5 to 10 Oct | Round 1: DT 5, IDT 7, IBS 9 (4 hours), fix day after each |
| 11 to 14 Oct | Revision from the error log, and the amendments for your attempt |
| 15 to 20 Oct | Round 2: DT 15, IDT 17, IBS 19, fix day after each |
| 21 to 25 Oct | Rewrite weak questions; one timed IBS case a day |
| 26 to 31 Oct | Round 3: DT 26, IDT 28, IBS 30, fix day after each |
| 1 to 8 Nov | Revise from the error log; tab your Paper 6 material |
For the tax papers, revise against the law for your attempt. ICAI's November 2026 RTPs set the cut-off at 30 April 2026, under the Finance Act 2025 for AY 2026-27 in Paper 4 (RTP Paper 4, PDF (opens in a new tab)) and GST and customs as amended by the Finance Act 2025 in Paper 5 (RTP Paper 5, PDF (opens in a new tab)). More in what's applicable for your CA attempt.
ICAI's CA Final mock test schedule, and where it fits
ICAI's MTPs for November 2026 are over: Series I ran from 9 to 21 September and Series II from 23 September to 5 October 2026 (ICAI announcement, PDF (opens in a new tab)). The paper-wise dates are in our CA Final November 2026 MTP schedule.
- Written both series? Count them as your mock 1 and mock 2 for each subject, and use this schedule for mock 3 and the rewrites.
- Haven't written them? They are free and on the current pattern, so slot them into the calendars above in place of mock 1 and mock 2. Our free CA Final test series guide says where to download them.
Your error log
One notebook, or one sheet per subject, with these columns:
| Mock | Q no. | Marks lost | Why | Fix | Rewritten on |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| FR mock 1 | Q1 | 4 | Presentation: no notes to accounts | Practise Schedule III format | 9 Oct |
| DT mock 1 | Q1 | 5 | Time: computation left halfway | Hard stop at 25 min; finish in outline | 13 Oct |
For the "Why" column, use five groups: concept not known, misread the question, calculation error, presentation, time. After two mocks per subject, count the groups. That count tells you what to do in your last week far better than any general advice.
It's also what you revise from between papers. Add the mistakes ICAI's examiners report most often as standing rows; they're in ICAI examiners' comments: 6 mistakes that cost CA marks.
What to do on the free days between papers
No full mocks; revise from your error log and write a few timed questions. You get one free day before Papers 2, 3, 5 and 6, and two (7 and 8 November) before Paper 4. Which chapters to revise on each of those days, paper by paper, is in our CA Final revision planner for November 2026. An hour-by-hour gap-day routine is in our CA Final revision strategy for the last 14 days.
- No full mocks. A 3-hour paper the day before a 3-hour exam leaves you tired for the one that counts.
- Read your error log for the next paper first. It's the shortest list of the mistakes you're most likely to make again.
- Write two or three questions against the clock from a mock you haven't finished. This keeps your speed without the fatigue.
- Revise formats, provisions and amendments, not new chapters.
- For Paper 6, ICAI lets you bring your own material in hard copy, such as study material, your own notes and bare Acts, but answers must be in your own handwriting (Guidance Notes, PDF (opens in a new tab)). Use 12 November to tab what you'll take.
- Don't discuss the paper you just wrote. It's done; the next one isn't.
Sleep and health, briefly
- Sleep at the same times every night, and keep the afternoon sharp: writing your mocks at 2 PM trains you for exactly that.
- Eat light before 2 PM on mock days and exam days, the same food you'll eat on the day.
- Move for 20 minutes a day. A walk is enough.
- Check your kit early: admit card, pens, and a calculator ICAI allows: battery-operated, up to 6 functions, 12 digits and two memories, not scientific. Even carrying a mobile phone into the hall, switched off, is treated as unfair means (Guidance Notes, PDF (opens in a new tab)).
Frequently asked questions
Is there a CA test series schedule PDF?
You don't need one: the tables above are the schedule. Screenshot the one for your group, or copy it into your planner. ICAI's own MTP dates are in its announcement PDF (opens in a new tab).
How many mock tests should I give before CA Final?
Two to three full, timed mocks per subject, each checked and fixed before the next. Writing both groups from 5 October, about 14 fit before 2 November with a fix day after each; one group, all 9 fit.
When should I give mock tests for CA Final November 2026?
Start now. Group I papers begin on 2 November and Group II on 9 November (ICAI schedule, PDF (opens in a new tab)), so finish the last full mock for each paper a few days before its exam, leaving time to fix it.
Is 30 days enough for CA Final revision?
For revising what you've already studied, yes, if you spend it writing and fixing papers rather than re-reading. It is not enough to learn new chapters across six papers; pick the most-asked topics in your weak chapters instead.
What if I start my CA Final test series late?
Keep the order and cut mock 3 first. Two checked mocks per subject, with fix days, do more than three rushed ones.
Practise with checked CA Final mock tests
This schedule needs papers you haven't seen and copies that come back fast. Our CA mock tests for Final give you full-syllabus mocks for every subject, with every chapter covered across the mocks and more weight on the most-asked. You write by hand, scan and upload one PDF, and your checked copy comes back within 24 hours, so you can fix a mock the day after you write it. Each copy shows the reason for every mark cut, the correct line to write, ICAI-style step-wise marks, and question-wise analysis of concept, presentation and working notes, which goes straight into your error log.
- CA Final Group I mock tests: FR, AFM and Audit
- CA Final Group II mock tests: DT and International Tax, IDT and IBS
- CA Final test series, both groups: all six papers
You can read preview pages of the first mock of each subject before you buy. Every level is on our CA test series home page.
