How checking works
- Download the question paper.

- Get your checked copy within 24 hours: marks for every question, each mistake and where it is in your answer, and the correct approach.
Questions before you buy
How hard are the papers?
As hard as the real exam. Each paper follows ICAI’s pattern, marking scheme and difficulty, and together the papers cover every topic, with more weight on the topics that come up most.
How do I send my answer sheet?
Click a photo of each answer page in good light, keep them in order, and combine them into one PDF with Google Drive or any PDF app. Then upload it on the paper’s page.
When do I get my checked copy?
Within 24 hours of uploading, any time of day. You see the expected time as soon as you submit, and the checked copy appears on the paper’s page by itself.
What if my upload fails?
Nothing is used up until your answer sheet is in. If the connection drops, try again from the same page; a submission only counts once the upload finishes.
How long is my access?
180 days from the day you buy, so till 28 Apr 2027 if you buy today. The exact end date stays on My plans.
Can I get a refund?
Plans are non-refundable; payment problems are always fixed or refunded. If money was deducted but the plan didn’t unlock, or you were charged twice, write to us and we’ll sort it out.
Read the refund policyA CA Final IBS mock test should feel like Paper 6 on the day: a stack of long business cases, four hours, your own books on the desk, and questions that only give marks when you apply a standard, a tax provision or a strategy framework to the company in front of you. This one is a full 100-mark Integrated Business Solutions paper in ICAI's case-study format. You write it by hand with your own books and notes, as ICAI allows, then upload one PDF of your answer sheet. Within 24 hours you get it back checked, with ICAI-style step-wise marks and the reason for every mark cut.
Everything here is about Paper 6, the last paper of the CA Final Group 2 test series. For the plans and how the checking works, see the CA Final test series page.
CA Final IBS paper pattern
From ICAI's Guidance Notes for the Final exam (PDF) (opens in a new tab):
| Paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions | |
|---|---|
| Format | "case study based open book exam of four hours duration" |
| Paper | Five case studies of 25 marks each; you attempt any four |
| Inside each case | 10 marks of MCQs and 15 marks of descriptive questions "involving computation/analysis/interpretation" |
| MCQ share | 40% of the paper, against 30% in Papers 1 to 5 |
| MCQ answers | On the OMR portion of the answer book cover, machine evaluated |
In the most recent paper, each case had five MCQs of 2 marks and three descriptive questions of 4 to 6 marks (Final Group II suggested answers, PDF (opens in a new tab)). ICAI's exam announcement gives 15 minutes of advance reading time (PDF) (opens in a new tab) before Paper 6 as well.
What IBS covers, in place of a weightage table
ICAI's section-wise weightage covers Papers 1 to 5 only; there is no section-wise split for Paper 6. ICAI describes the paper as a "Multi-disciplinary case study involving Papers 1 to 5 at the final level along with Self-Paced Online Modules Sets A and B and Strategic Management" (ICAI scheme at a glance, PDF (opens in a new tab)).
One case can mix several of these:
| Area | What a case can ask |
|---|---|
| FR (Paper 1) | An Ind AS treatment with journal entries |
| AFM (Paper 2) | A hedge, a valuation or an investment decision |
| Audit (Paper 3) | The auditor's duties under the SAs or the ethics clauses |
| DT and IDT (Papers 4 and 5) | A tax or GST consequence, with the provision |
| SPOM Sets A and B, Strategic Management | A company law point, a cost or performance analysis, or a strategy framework applied to the company |
ICAI's practice material, including two IBS Case Study Digests, is on its Paper 6 page (opens in a new tab). How to prepare is in CA Final Paper 6 IBS: how to prepare.
Where students lose marks in IBS
The examiners keep finding students who copied theory instead of answering the case. From the comments for May 2026 (Group II suggested answers, PDF (opens in a new tab)) and January 2026 (Group II examiners' comments, PDF (opens in a new tab)):
- Business Model Canvas, rated BELOW AVERAGE: most "preferred to copy the general description of the indicated elements from the study material."
- Quality costs, rated POOR: students chose "to copy the quality costs incurred as provided in the case study and copy the definition of quality costs as provided in the study material without answering the requirement of question."
- Audit in a case, rated AVERAGE: most "discussed in a generalised manner" the auditor's considerations, "not in line with SA 800, SA 805, SA 200, SA 240, SA 550, SA 570 and SA 260."
- Tax computation, rated POOR: most "failed to correctly compute the amount of depreciation including any additional depreciation allowable under the provisions of the Income-tax Act, 1961."
Open book helps you find a provision, not apply it.
How to use an IBS mock
Timing plan for 4 hours. Use the reading time to skim all five cases and their questions, and choose your four by the descriptive questions, which carry 60 of your 100 marks. That gives each case about 55 minutes: roughly 15 to read it with the questions in mind, 12 for the five MCQs, and the rest for the 15 descriptive marks. Fill the OMR as you finish each case. Our post on how to attempt a CA Final paper in 3 hours also has a section on the 4-hour Paper 6.
When to write it. After your core papers are revised, because IBS draws on all of them. Write it from 2 PM in one four-hour sitting, with exactly the books and tabbed notes you plan to take into the hall. Leave a day after each mock to rewrite your weakest answer in the "provision, applied to the case, conclusion" form.

Frequently asked questions
Is CA Final Paper 6 open book?
Yes. ICAI's Guidance Notes let candidates bring their "own material in hard form", such as study materials, practice manuals, bare Acts and your own notes. No phones or other electronic devices are allowed, and you must write the answers in your "own handwriting"; pasting from reference material counts as unfair means.
How many case studies do I answer in IBS?
Four of the five. Each carries 25 marks: 10 marks of MCQs and 15 marks of descriptive questions.
Does ICAI publish section-wise weightage for IBS?
No. It covers Papers 1 to 5 only. For Paper 6, ICAI describes what the paper integrates, as set out above.
