CA Final Nov 2026 revision planner: day-by-day to 13 Nov

· Updated · 12 min read

A CA Final revision planner for November 2026 should tell you which chapters to revise on which date: the A-chapters of every paper first, then B, C last, and only A-chapters again in the final week and on the gap days between papers. The planner below starts on Wednesday 7 October and runs to Paper 6 on Friday 13 November, with a day-by-day table for Group I, one for Group II and a week-by-week table for both groups.

Most study planners online are six-month or 90-day PDFs with no dates in them. With under four weeks to Paper 1, you need a plan that names the chapter for tomorrow morning.

CA Final Nov 2026 exam dates: the fixed points of your planner

Group I is on 2, 4 and 6 November; Group II on 9, 11 and 13 November 2026. From ICAI's exam announcement (PDF) (opens in a new tab) and the paper-wise dates in ICAI's Guidance Notes for Final, November 2026 (PDF) (opens in a new tab):

DatePaperGap days before the next paper
Mon 2 NovPaper 1: Financial ReportingTue 3 Nov
Wed 4 NovPaper 2: Advanced Financial ManagementThu 5 Nov
Fri 6 NovPaper 3: Advanced Auditing, Assurance and Professional EthicsSat 7 and Sun 8 Nov
Mon 9 NovPaper 4: Direct Tax Laws & International TaxationTue 10 Nov
Wed 11 NovPaper 5: Indirect Tax LawsThu 12 Nov
Fri 13 NovPaper 6: Integrated Business Solutions–

Papers 1 to 5 run from 2 to 5 PM and Paper 6 from 2 to 6 PM. More detail is in our CA Final November 2026 timetable.

Counting from Wednesday 7 October, you have 26 days before FR and 33 days before DT. That is enough for one full pass of every chapter in priority order and a second pass of the A-chapters, if the order is right.

How this revision plan picks chapters: A first, C last

Every chapter in this planner is placed by its tier from ICAI's last four papers: A-chapters (asked in all four, the biggest share of marks) first, B next, C last. The tiers come from our chapter-wise weightage and ABC analysis for each paper: FR, AFM, Audit, DT and IDT. ICAI's own section-wise ranges are in CA Final syllabus and paper weightage.

A-chapters get the most days and a second pass in the last week; B-chapters fewer days and one pass; C-chapters one shared day per paper, for concepts, formats and the RTP questions.

Why this order: if you run out of days, what you drop is C, the tier worth the fewest marks. A plan that goes chapter 1 to chapter 19 drops whatever happens to come last.

Group II in 33 days: A-chapters of DT and IDT by 16 October, B by 24 October, C by 27 October, a second pass in the last ten days, with IBS days between. IBS has no chapters of its own; it tests the other papers through case studies, so its days go to your open-book kit and ICAI's cases, as explained in how to prepare for CA Final IBS.

From 7 November, follow the gap-day table below.

Both groups: week-by-week revision plan

Writing both groups, Group II's A-chapters must be done before Group I's exams begin, because after 2 November you only have the gap days between papers, one or two at a time. So this plan revises all six papers' A-chapters in the first two weeks.

WeekRevise
7–13 OctA-chapters: FR (7–8), AFM (9–10), Audit (11–13)
14–20 OctA-chapters: DT (14–15), IDT (16–17); IBS index (18); FR B-chapters (19–20)
21–27 OctB-chapters: AFM (21), Audit (22), DT (23–24), IDT (25–26); two IBS cases (27)
28 Oct–1 NovGroup I C-chapters (28); second pass of A: Audit (29), AFM (30), FR (31); FR formats (1 Nov)
2–6 NovGroup I exams; AFM on 3 Nov, Audit on 5 Nov
7–13 NovDT A-chapters and formats (7–8), IDT A-chapters and Statutory Update (10), IBS index (12)

Be honest about what gets cut: with both groups, Group II's C-chapters get only their RTP questions, and B-chapters get one pass. That is the trade-off for 26 days, and the ABC order makes sure it falls on the fewest marks. If you are still deciding whether both groups are realistic, read can I clear CA Final in 1 month first.

How to use this CA Final study planner

Revise in the morning, write in the afternoon, log errors at night. One way to split a 9–11 hour day:

BlockHoursWhat you do
Morning4–5The day's chapters from the table: read, then write one long question per A-chapter without looking
Afternoon, 2 PM3–4A full mock, or timed questions from the RTP or past papers on the morning's chapters
Evening2Check what you wrote; add every lost mark to your error log

Starting at 2 PM matters: it is when every paper starts, so your sharpest hours move to the exam slot.

When to slot mocks into the revision plan

Write two or three full mocks per paper in the afternoon slot. If you haven't written a paper yet, write its first mock early: it shows where you stand and which A-chapters need the most time. Then try to place its next mock after those A-chapters are revised, so it shows whether the revision worked. On a mock day, do only the morning's revision; on the day after, fix the mock before anything new. Our CA Final last 30 days mock test plan has the dated mock calendars for one or both groups, so we don't repeat them here. Fit the two together: the revision tables here decide your mornings, the mock calendar decides your afternoons.

If you fall behind

Don't push every date back. Drop the C day of the paper you're strongest in, use the 28 October buffer, and keep the second pass of A-chapters. Never study a new chapter on a gap day.

What to revise on the gap days between papers

On a gap day, revise only the next paper's A-chapters, formats and your error log. No new chapter, no full mock.

Gap dayNext paperRevise
Sun 1 NovFRConsolidation format, Ind AS 115 steps, financial instrument tables

How to spend the hours on each gap day, and a last-14-days schedule for each group, is in CA Final Nov 2026 revision strategy: last 14 days + gap days.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a CA Final revision planner PDF?

This page is the planner. Print it, or copy the day-by-day table for your group and the checklist into your notebook. ICAI's free material for revision (RTPs, MTPs, past papers) is linked on our CA Final free resources page. Paper-wise links to ICAI's November 2026 RTPs, with what each one covers, are in CA Final RTP Nov 2026 PDF with answers.

How many hours a day should I study in the last month of CA Final?

There is no ICAI rule. Nine to eleven focused hours, split between revision, a 2 PM writing slot and an error log, is a workable split. Hours you write by hand count for more than hours you read.

Can I revise CA Final Group 1 in 30 days?

Yes, if you have studied it once: the Group I table above revises every chapter once and the A-chapters twice in 26 days. If large parts are new to you, read can I clear CA Final in 1 month before you start.

Should I revise or write mock tests first?

Both, side by side. If you haven't written a full mock of a paper yet, write one early: it shows where you stand. Then revise that paper's A-chapters before its next mock, so the second mock tells you whether the revision worked.

What should I study the day before a CA Final paper?

Only that paper's A-chapters, formats and your error log, as in the gap-day table. Sleep matters more than one more chapter.

Revise with this planner, then test it with checked mocks

A revision plan shows its worth only on paper. Our CA Final mock tests are full-syllabus papers in every subject on ICAI's latest pattern, with every chapter covered across the mocks and more weight on the most-asked, so they test the same A-chapters this planner puts first. You write by hand, upload one PDF, and your checked copy comes back within 24 hours with ICAI-style step-wise marks, the reason for every mark cut and the correct line to write. You can read preview pages of the first mock before you buy.
