CA exam date 2027 and 2026: Final, Inter, Foundation dates
The first CA exam date in 2027 is 2 January 2027, when CA Intermediate starts; CA Foundation runs on 3, 5, 7 and 9 January 2027. Before that, CA Final November 2026 runs from 2 to 13 November 2026. ICAI has not announced the May 2027 dates yet.

ICAI says that the dates in each of these schedules will not change even if a day is declared a public holiday.
CA Final exam date Nov 2026 (paper-wise)
CA Final November 2026 starts on Monday, 2 November 2026 with Paper 1 and ends on Friday, 13 November 2026 with Paper 6. Every paper starts at 2 PM (IST). Papers 1 to 5 are 3 hours. Paper 6 is a 4-hour open-book case-study paper. Every Final paper has 15 minutes of advance reading time, from 1:45 PM to 2 PM.

Exam form: the window has closed. It ran from 6 to 19 July 2026, with a late fee of ₹600 up to 22 July, and ICAI re-opened it with the late fee from 1 to 5 August 2026 (re-opening dates, PDF (opens in a new tab)). The fee for Indian centres was ₹1,800 for one group and ₹3,300 for both.

ICAI's January 2027 schedule gives the group dates only. For September 2026, ICAI gave the paper-wise list in the Guidance Notes. The papers in each group are:

ICAI's Guidance Notes for Foundation January 2027 put the papers in number order: Paper 1 on 3 January, Paper 2 on 5 January, Paper 3 on 7 January and Paper 4 on 9 January (Guidance Notes, PDF (opens in a new tab), on icai.org). The timings depend on the paper:

CA exam form last date for January 2027
The last date for the CA Foundation and Inter January 2027 exam form is 16 November 2026 without late fee, and 19 November 2026 with a ₹600 late fee. You apply on ICAI's Self Service Portal, eservices.icai.org (opens in a new tab). CA Final exam date May 2027: not announced yet
ICAI has not announced the CA Final May 2027 dates yet. What is confirmed is that, from May 2026, CA Final is held twice a year, in May and November (ICAI announcement, 6 April 2026, PDF (opens in a new tab)). For reference only, last May's Final ran from 2 to 12 May 2026 (Guidance Notes for Final May 2026, PDF (opens in a new tab)). That is last cycle's pattern, not a 2027 date.

How to use the time left
CA Final November 2026 starts on 2 November, and Intermediate and Foundation start on 2 and 3 January 2027.
- Put your exam dates in your calendar now, with the form deadline for January 2027 (16 November 2026). After that date the form costs ₹600 extra, and the last date with the late fee is 19 November 2026.
- Practise in the real time slot. Every paper starts at 2 PM, so write your mock papers in the afternoon. For Foundation Papers 3 and 4 there is no reading time, so practise starting straight away.

Frequently asked questions
When is the CA exam in 2027?
The first CA exams of 2027 are CA Intermediate (2 to 12 January 2027) and CA Foundation (3, 5, 7 and 9 January 2027). CA Final is next held in May 2027, but ICAI has not announced those dates yet.
What is the CA Final exam date for May 2027?
Not announced yet. Last May, CA Final ran from 2 to 12 May 2026. Treat early May as a working assumption until ICAI publishes the schedule.
Is the CA Inter January 2027 exam date postponed?
No. ICAI's schedule of 23 September 2026 is the latest, and ICAI has posted no change to it. Its schedules also say the dates will not change if a day is declared a public holiday.
What is the last date to fill the CA Foundation form for January 2027?
16 November 2026 without late fee, and 19 November 2026 with a ₹600 late fee. The form opens on 3 November 2026 on eservices.icai.org.
What time does the CA exam start?
2 PM (IST) for every paper at every level. Final and Intermediate papers, and Foundation Papers 1 and 2, have 15 minutes of reading time from 1:45 PM. Foundation Papers 3 and 4 have none.
When is the CA Sept 2026 result?
