CA Final test series Nov 2026: how to choose the right one
A good CA Final test series for November 2026 gives you full-syllabus papers at exam level on ICAI's current pattern and amendments, which you write by hand in the full time, and gets them back checked with step marks and a reason for every mark cut, fast enough to fix your mistakes before the next paper. With the exams starting on 2 November 2026, it should also fit into the four or five weeks you have left. This guide covers what to look for, a checklist for choosing, how many mocks fit, and exactly what our own plans contain.
What a good CA Final test series should give you
Full-syllabus papers at exam level, on the current pattern
Chapter tests are for earlier months. Close to the exam, every paper you write should look like the real one. For November 2026 that means:
- Papers 1 to 5: 100 marks in 3 hours, with 30 marks of case-based MCQs and 70 marks of descriptive questions. There is no negative marking.
- Paper 6 (IBS): a 4-hour, open-book case-study paper. You get five case studies of 25 marks each and answer any four. In each case, 10 marks are MCQs and 15 marks are descriptive.

Questions on the law that applies to your attempt
For November 2026, ICAI's RTPs set the cut-off at 30 April 2026. Paper 4 follows direct tax laws as amended by the Finance Act 2025, with notifications and circulars up to 30.04.2026 (RTP Paper 4, PDF (opens in a new tab)). Paper 5 follows GST and customs law as amended by the Finance Act 2025, up to 30 April 2026 (RTP Paper 5, PDF (opens in a new tab)). A test series written for an older attempt can test you on law that no longer applies. See CA exam applicability for the full picture. Every paper's RTP for this attempt, with ICAI's answers, is linked in CA Final RTP Nov 2026 PDF with answers.
Writing by hand, in the full time
A mock you type, or "solve in your head", hides the two things that cost the most marks: your speed and your presentation. Write every paper by hand, in one sitting, in 3 hours (4 hours for Paper 6).
Real checking: step marks and a reason for every mark cut
An answer key tells you whether your final figure is right. It does not tell you that your working notes were missing, that you quoted the wrong SA, or that you gave a conclusion without the provision. ICAI's examiners point these out every attempt. In May 2026, for example, they wrote that in Financial Reporting Question 1 many examinees were "failing to follow the formats prescribed under Division II of Schedule III to the Companies Act, 2013, omitting Notes to Accounts and preparing incomplete or inaccurate working notes" (Final Group I suggested answers, May 2026, PDF (opens in a new tab)).
Good checking gives ICAI-style step-wise marks, says why each mark was cut, and shows what you should have written instead. More on this in ICAI examiners' comments: common mistakes.
Fast turnaround
A checked copy that comes back after ten days is too late to change how you write the next paper. With four or five weeks left, you want the result in a day or two, so each paper improves the next one.
A number of papers that fits your time
More mocks are not always better. A mock is worth writing only if you also have time to read the checked copy, fix the gaps and revise. Three full papers per subject is a realistic number in the time left, as the next section shows. How chapter tests differ from a full-syllabus series is explained in what is a CA test series.
How many weeks are left, and how many mocks fit
ICAI's dates for CA Final November 2026 (ICAI schedule, PDF (opens in a new tab)):
| Paper | Date | Days left from 4 October |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Financial Reporting | Mon, 2 November | 29 |
| 2. Advanced Financial Management | Wed, 4 November | 31 |
| 3. Advanced Auditing, Assurance and Professional Ethics | Fri, 6 November | 33 |
| 4. Direct Tax Laws & International Taxation | Mon, 9 November | 36 |
| 5. Indirect Tax Laws | Wed, 11 November | 38 |
| 6. Integrated Business Solutions | Fri, 13 November | 40 |
Papers 1 to 5 run from 2 to 5 PM and Paper 6 from 2 to 6 PM, with 15 minutes of reading time from 1:45 PM. Paper-wise days are in our CA Final November 2026 timetable.
So from 4 October you have about four weeks before Group I and about five weeks before Group II. Whether a month is enough, and when to wait, is covered in can I clear CA Final in 1 month. A workable plan (a suggestion, not an ICAI rule):
- Group I only (3 papers): 9 mocks (3 per paper) in the first three weeks, about one every two to three days, with the days in between for reading the checked copy and revising those chapters. Keep the last week for revision.
- Group II only (3 papers): the same 9 mocks over four weeks, which leaves room for the 4-hour IBS sittings.
- Both groups (6 papers): 18 mocks is more than fits before 2 November if you leave a day after each mock to fix mistakes. Write about 14 in full, Group I first because those exams come first, and use the rest for timed questions on the free days between papers. Our last 30 days mock test plan has the day-by-day calendar. For the chapters to revise around those mocks, day by day, see our CA Final revision planner for November 2026.
ICAI's own Mock Test Papers are also part of this period. For November 2026, Series II ends with Paper 6 on 5 October, and ICAI uploads the answer key within 48 hours so that students can "self-assess their performance" (MTP announcement, PDF (opens in a new tab)). ICAI's Success at CA Exam sessions for CA Final November 2026 start the next day, 6 October. Write those too, check them against the answer key, and use a test series for the checking you cannot do yourself. Our last 6 weeks plan with RTPs and MTPs shows how the pieces fit.
Which is the best test series for CA Final?
The best CA Final test series is the one that checks your handwritten full papers properly and fast, not the one with the most tests. Judge it on the checklist below: full-syllabus papers on the November 2026 cut-off, step marks with a reason for every cut, and your checked copy back in a day or two. Whether one is worth paying for over ICAI's free papers is weighed in is a CA test series worth it, and our own papers are on the CA Final test series for Nov 2026 page.
A checklist for choosing a CA Final test series
Ask these five questions before you pay for any test series, ours included. To check them from a seller's own pages, see reliable CA test series.
| Question | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| How is the copy checked, and what do I get back? | Marks alone don't help. You need step marks and a reason for every cut. |
| When will I get my checked copy? | With four or five weeks left, a slow result is a wasted paper. |
| Can I see a sample before buying? | Read some of the actual questions before you pay, so you know the level. |
| What is the price per checked paper? | Divide the price by the number of papers that are actually checked, not the number of tests listed. The full method is in how to get real value from an affordable CA Final test series. |
| Fixed dates, or write when I'm ready? | Fixed dates suit some students. If your revision is uneven, flexible timing lets you write each paper when that subject is ready. |
Also check that the papers are full syllabus, that they are on the November 2026 cut-off, and how long your access lasts.
What our CA Final November 2026 plans contain
We run three plans for the November 2026 attempt. They are the same series, split by group.
| Plan | Papers | Mocks |
|---|---|---|
| CA Final Group I mock tests | FR, AFM, Audit | 9 (3 per paper) |
| CA Final Group II mock tests | DT & International Tax, IDT, IBS | 9 (3 per paper) |
| CA Final both groups mock tests | All six papers | 18 (3 per paper) |
Every plan includes:
- 3 full-syllabus mock tests per subject. Every chapter is covered across the three mocks, with more weight on the most-asked chapters.
- Brand-new questions on the latest ICAI pattern: 30% MCQs and 70% descriptive in Papers 1 to 5, and a case-study based Paper 6 (IBS) in Group II.
- Every amendment applicable for November 2026 is tested.
- Each paper is 100 marks and 3 hours (IBS: 4 hours).
- Checking of every line of your answer sheet on 50+ parameters, with the reason for every mark cut and the correct line to write, ICAI-style step-wise marks, and a question-wise analysis of concept, presentation and working notes.
- Your checked copy within 24 hours.
- Detailed suggested answers with provisions, working notes and MCQ reasoning.
- Access for 180 days.
You can read preview pages of the first mock of each subject on the plan page before you buy. Not sure which group to pick? Our Group I vs Group II comparison goes paper by paper.
How it works
- Download the paper when you are ready to write it.
- Write by hand, in the full time, as you would in the exam hall.
- Scan and upload one PDF of your whole answer sheet. You get one submission per paper, just like the real exam, so upload when you have finished.
- Get your checked copy within 24 hours, with marks for each question, every mistake marked line by line and the reason for each mark cut.
- Read the suggested answers, fix the gaps, and write the next mock.
Frequently asked questions
Is it too late to start a CA Final test series for November 2026?
No. From 4 October there are 29 days to Paper 1 on 2 November and 36 days to Paper 4 on 9 November (ICAI schedule, PDF (opens in a new tab)). That is enough for three full mocks per subject if you are writing one group. With both groups, about 14 full mocks fit before Paper 1, so write the rest as timed questions on the free days between papers.
How many CA Final mock tests should I write before the exam?
There is no ICAI rule. Three full-syllabus mocks per subject, each checked and followed by revision of the weak chapters, fit the time left before November 2026. Add ICAI's MTPs and the two most recent past papers if you have time.
Are ICAI's MTPs enough on their own?
ICAI's Mock Test Papers are free and on the exam pattern, and you should write them. ICAI gives the answer key so students can self-assess (MTP announcement, PDF (opens in a new tab)). What they don't give you is your own copy checked, with step marks and reasons. That is the gap a test series fills.
Can I write the mocks on my own schedule?
In our plans, you download each paper when you are ready to write it and upload your answer sheet when you have finished, any time while your access lasts.
Does the test series cover IBS (Paper 6)?
Yes. The Group II and both-groups plans have three 4-hour IBS case-study mocks, on the current pattern.
